Project Overview

For nearly a decade, Lifepoint Church has been a missionary church in Almería, yet until now, it had little online presence. As both a designer and a member of the congregation, my role was to identify the needs of the community and merge them with best practices in the market to create a digital platform that truly serves its purpose.

During this stage I focused on meetings with different stakeholders to validate the viability of the project and scope the interests at play, having as an objective to formulate a clear purpose concept for the website.

The Research

During these stage I focused my research holistically, as I navigated through the interests of each stakeholder. My purpose was to understand the community needs and draw a clear set of insights for the designing stage.

The Ideation

Walnut's development process combines the parent company’s extensive knowledge of home furnishings with cutting-edge art production techniques to produce a refined and diverse collection of high-quality, accessible artwork.

The Design

With a clear understanding of Lifepoint’s community needs and digital opportunities, the Design Phase focused on transforming research insights into tangible solutions. This stage involved structuring the website’s content, defining user flows, and creating intuitive layouts that enhance accessibility and engagement.of high-quality, accessible artwork.

Through an iterative approach, the design evolved to balance functionality, aesthetics, and user experience, resulting in a website that effectively serves both Lifepoint’s mission and its growing online community.

The Takeaways

The Lifepoint website redesign was more than just a digital upgrade—it was about creating a platform that serves the community with clarity, accessibility, and purpose. By blending user-centered design with mission-driven functionality, the project ensured that every feature, from small group connections to online giving, enhances engagement and strengthens the church’s outreach.

This process reinforced the importance of designing for impact, where usability meets ministry needs, and technology becomes a bridge for faith, fellowship, and growth.

Truly, a designing for Good (or God?) experience.
